First StepsSession 7: The Church Please take the time to work through these questions before moving to the next session. Whether you're a family working through these sessions together or a new believer desiring to grow in your faith, grab your Bible, read through the Scripture references, and allow God to work in your life. First Name Last Name Please list any additional people participating in this session. Why is church (gathering with other believers) so important? Read Romans 15:1-7 Based on these verses, why are healthy relationships with other believers vital to our relationship with Jesus? Read Acts 2:42-38. Why did the early church spend time together? What do we learn about how we should view the church today? According to 2 Timothy 3:16-17, we need God's Word to help us grow in our faith. Paul describes the value of God's Word with words like: teaching, reproof, correction, and training. How does the church provide the perfect space for those things to happen? According to Hebrews 10:24-25, what does the writer of Hebrews encourage the church to do? In what ways can we "stir up one another to love and good works?" Can we accomplish this without meeting together? What do we mean by the phrase, "WE ARE BETTER TOGETHER?" We want to help you find a group to do life with so you can be challenged and encouraged to continue to grow in your faith. We believe spiritual growth happens best through accountable relationships with other believers. Thank you for completing Small Group Leader Orientation! We will be following up with you soon.
