Discipleship is a process. We are
committed to developing fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. We
desire to provide an environment that allows people to encounter God, to
be empowered through the Holy Spirit, and to be engaged in personal
ministry.
Our
Purpose
We
exist to please God through authentic worship, sharing the love of
Christ, and embracing the Word of God as absolute truth (2 Corinthians
5:9).
Our Vision
Our
vision is to become a regional church, offering a holistic approach for
family driven ministry.
Our
Mission
Our
mission is to develop healthy families totally committed to serving our
Lord.
Statement
of Faith
The
Holy Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word of God and is
the basis for any statement of faith. O
ur Church subscribes to the
doctrinal statement of "The Baptist Faith and Message" as adopted by The
Southern Baptist Convention in 1963, and as amended and readopted on
June 14, 2000. We band ourselves together as a body of baptized
believers in Jesus Christ personally committed to sharing the Good News
of salvation to lost mankind. The ordinances of the Church
are baptism
and the Lord's Supper.
Our
Christian Core Values
Worship
- By
expressing an attitude of worship. "God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit
and truth" (John 4:24).
- By
attending faithfully. "As usual,
He entered the synagogue on the Sabbath day and stood up to read" (Luke
4:16).
- By
living in a Christ-like manner. "Just one thing: live your life in a
manner worthy of the gospel of Christ" (Philippians
1:27).
- By
giving regularly. "On the first day of the week, each of
you is to set something aside and save to the extent that he
prospers..." (1 Corinthians 16:2).
Discipleship
- By
reading my Bible daily. "This
book of instruction must not depart from your mouth; you are to recite
it day and night, so that you may carefully observe everything written
in it" (Joshua 1:8).
- By
participating in Bible study. "All Scripture is inspired by God and is
profitable for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, for training in
righteousness" (2 Timothy 3:16).
- By
memorizing Scripture. "I have treasured Your word in my heart
so that I may not sin against You" (Psalm 119:11).
Ministry
- By
using my gifts and talents. "Based on the gift they have received,
everyone should use it to serve others..." (1 Peter 4:10).
- By
serving our leaders. "And He
personally gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists,
some pastors and teachers, for the training of the saints in the work of
ministry, to build of the body of Christ" (Ephesians 4:11-12).
- By
developing a servant's heart. "Make your own attitude that of Christ
Jesus...by assuming the form of a slave..." (Philippians 2:5,
7a).
Evangelism
- By
doing my part. "The harvest is abundant, but the workers
are few" (Luke 10:2).
- By
inviting the unchurched to attend. "Go out into the highways and lanes and make them come in, so that
my house may be filled" (Luke
14:23).
- By
fulfilling the Great Commission. "Go, therefore, and make disciples of
all nations..." (Matthew 28:19).
Fellowship
- By
loving other members. "...love
one another earnestly from a pure heart..." (1 Peter 1:22).
- By
refusing to gossip. "No rotten
talk should come from your mouth, but only what is good for the building
up of someone in need..." (Ephesians 4:29).
- By
following the leaders. "Obey your
leaders and submit to them, for they keep watch over your souls as
those who will give an account, so that they can do this with joy and
not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you" (Hebrews 13:17).
- By
being present. "...not staying away from our meetings,
as some habitually do, but encouraging each other..." (Hebrews
10:25).
